Description Fly splat, head skudge, clump drop, suicide dive, slam.
Welcome to the gravity-defying world of 1997 MacArthur Fellowship recipient, Elizabeth Streb and her company of 9 dancers, STREB.
It's a world where dancers hurtle through space, fly on harnesses or dive through plates of glass. Where the only music is shouted cues punctuated by the amplified sound of bodies smashing against obstacles. With striking execution, performers dive from scaffolds and hurl themselves against walls, flattening their bodies into tensed straight lines before slamming against padded surfaces.
