Description Originally set on the eve of midsummer 1888 on the estate of a Swedish Count, Miss Julie, the Counts daughter, Jean the valet and the cook Kristin enter a dangerous irreversible game. Boundaries are crossed, rules are broken and the impossible is explored.

In a new re-imagination of this classic play for Darlinghurst Theatre Company, Strindberg’s infamous ‘modern woman’ claws at the strangle hold of her author. She is a woman exploding out of her century, raging against the impositions of class, gender and the damage of her upbringing.
