| Description | "Uncle Vanya" is the story of a retired professor who goes to live with his lovely young wife on a small country estate. The manager of the estate is Ivan (called Vanya) who has spent his life working for the professor, editing and translating manuscripts and now sees the professor as a fraud and his life uselessly sacrificed. He has an unrequited love for the professor's beautiful young wife and unsuccessfully attempts to kill him. | |
