the entrance to a grim dark world - the world of the tragic hunchback jester Rigoletto, whose quest for revenge against the kidnappers of his beloved daughter Gilda wreaks the worst of all tragedies upon him. Adapted from Verdi's opera and Victor Hugo's The King Amuses Himself.
