| Description |
"The Rise to Fame of Vaslav Smith" is a fun-filled programme designed to attract the interest of Secondary and Tertiary students. It depicts the rise to fame of Vaslav Smith, a local lad who becomes Australia's answer to Nureyev. As Vaslav makes his way to stardom, he triumphs in all forms of dance: from the extremes of tap to jazz ballet. The audience is taken into the behind-the-scenes workings of a dance company, sees a rehearsal in progress and experiences how a show is put on. |
