This is Southern Gothic genre theatre at its best, hot and steamy with a shocking ending and set in a mythological context based on the tale of Orpheus and Eurydice. It is the story of a wild-spirited young man who wanders into a conservative Southern community where he attempts to rescue a sexually frustrated woman from her moribund marriage with all the commotion of a fox in a chicken coop. |
