Mexican folkloric dance originated during the pre-Hispanic era where life revolved around religion and the military. The dance form also reflects this categorization in its almost obsessive uniformity of movement and precision of rhythm. Ballet Folklorico de Mexico promises an evening of excellent choreography, heady swirling dancers and stunning costumes in the re-enactment of the dances evoking the adoration of Nature, Courage, Love and Death. |
