| Description |
A seasonal, festival comedy about one year's farming at the end of a long dry spell. This version takes the play's action back to the end of the 1881 to 1886 drought in Toowoomba.
"The Old Selection" is the title of In Australia, Or, The Old Selection, a book by Steele Rudd (Arthur Hoey Davis). "The Old Selection" is not a separate work, but rather the subtitle to the book, and is distinct from his more famous book, On Our Selection. While On Our Selection is a series of short stories about the Rudd family, In Australia, Or, The Old Selection is a separate book that features different characters, the Figley family, and includes the story of their neighbors, Skinney McGahn and Wild Winnie Diehard. |
