| Description | Dan Moffat sits in his crumbling room and, in a booze-induced haze, fills the space with words. He broods over his life: a childhood in Northern Ireland, his migration to New Zealand, his service in the war, his marriage and his fraught relationships with his children.
A neglectful husband, appalling father, a mean piece of work capable of the most gentle generosity, Dan is above all a story teller. At times hilarious, at times gut-wrenchingly sad. This melancholy-comic monologue is a wonderful performance piece for the much-loved Max Cullen. |
