Oklahoma! Dazzling treat by Repertory |
| Abstract/Description |
There is every justification for the use of "dazzling? as a descriptive term for the presentation of the popular and spectacular musical "Oklahoma!" last Friday evening. It is used here in the sense of admiration and amazement, at the same time not overlooking the fact that numerous scenes were realistically dazzling from the sheer brilliance of the lighting effects and the costuming of the players. The splendid sets and decor made a handsome contribution to the overall effect and atmosphere, and again make-up attained a high standard. There was a contagious spirit about the whole production, which was a triumph for Eleanor Williams (director of production), Don Neville (musical director) and Brian Martin choreography). |
