On 4th September the Liedertafel gave a subscription concert at the Town Hall, being kindly assisted by the Fremantle Orchestral Society. This concert was a great success and resulted in a small credit balanoe to the funds after all expenses had been defrayed. It has also been decided, by the committee to provide silver lyres to be worn by performers at concerts, and a golden one for the use of the conductor.
On September 23rd thirteen members of the society gave an entertainment to the inmates of the Fremantle Asylum, and were warmly thanked by the staff for their efforts towards brightening the lot of those poor people.
