Mrs. Wooldridge died on Friday, the 11th inst., at St James's park, Hawthorn, at the age of 67, the age of Her Majesty Queen Victoria. Mrs. Wooldridge was the eldest of 13 children, all of whom are dead except Mrs. Leigh, now of the Adelphi Theatre, London. Mrs. Wooldridge, who was a native of London, began her stage life at the old Adelphi, in the days when Yates, father of Edmund Yates, editor of the World, was manager, and she was only six years old at the time of her first appearance. |
