THE THEATRE
On Saturday night was performed, " Charles the Second, or the Merry Monarch." We see nothing to call upon us to alter the opinion we expressed in our late critique, save that the
performance went oft' with more effect. " The Charcoal Burner" followed, and with the exception of Mr. Stanton coming unexpectedly to life, after being shot through the head, the drama went off " as well as could be expected," considering the materials obliged to be made use of. |
